Poor tour in comparison with others in the area

点评：We paid £27 for a wine tour lasting just 1.5 hours. The place is beautiful and the restaurant staff were pleasant. However, I was very disappointed with the tour, having been to many others within Sussex and other parts of the country this was quite poor. The tour lady was pleasant and informative, but we paid to watch a video for 20 minutes which anyone could do at home! No tour has a video. There was no tour of the actual vineyard or even part of it even though it’s within walkable distance & most wine tours include this. To top it off there were 16 of us and there was no where to sit, only during the video!! Lastly, but most importantly you came to the tasting room with no seating again, only one glass to drink the wine from, even though most tours provide wine in separate glasses. Then each wine, just 4 from the ‘tasting’ list were provided, serving just 1/3 of the small glass of each wine. I’ve never seen anything like it in a tour, why not fill the glass? The actual tasting part was rushed which spoilt the tour at the end. Then as others have noted you enter the shop & discover you could have tasted all 4 wines for £10 in the shop. It’s a lovely location but the tour was poor.
