点评：Tequila was such a highlight of my trip to Guadalajara. Instead of booking a tour, I decided to take local public transportation and spend the night—and I’m so glad I did! This little town is bursting with charm, colorful streets, and authentic distillery experiences.
I skipped the big brands and opted for a small family-run hacienda where the vibe was cozy and welcoming. The tequila tasting felt more like being invited into someone’s home than a commercial tour. Afterward, I wandered through the Plaza Principal, grabbed some local bites, a cocktail and even caught the Danza de los Voladores, which was a surreal and beautiful performance rooted in indigenous tradition.
As a solo female traveler, I felt completely safe and embraced by the warmth of the people here. If you’re looking for a culturally rich and off-the-beaten-path escape, this is it. Pro tip: stay overnight if you can—you’ll get to see the town in a totally different (and quieter) light.
