We arrived at 1:30 PM and were told we could use the chairs until around 4:00–5:00 PM. However, once the cruise ship guests departed around 2:45 PM, we were abruptly informed by staff that the business was closing and that the chairs and umbrellas needed to be returned immediately.
Shockingly, the umbrella was removed while we were still sitting in the chairs. The staff were unprofessional, rude, and hostile, which significantly detracted from what should have been a relaxing experience.
It is clear that the team at Seaside Destinations would benefit from urgent customer service training. Furthermore, we urge the management of Goodman Beach to provide better oversight of vendors operating on the premises. All visitors—whether arriving by cruise or otherwise—deserve to be treated with courtesy and respect.
As tourists, including first-time visitors to the Bahamas, this incident left us with a negative impression. We hope this feedback prompts meaningful improvements so that future guests can fully enjoy the beauty and hospitality that the Bahamas is known for.
