A Unique and Excellent Total Immersion in Learning French

点评：I only began my study of French after retirement. I have taken community college classes, on-line classes, a month-long class at a well-known language school in Paris, even some private tutoring in France. All helped some. But the total immersion in the language at L'Ecole des Trois Ponts took me far deeper into the language and culture than any of my previous studies. I attended the school for 4 weeks in 2024 and now 3 more weeks in 2025. The atmosphere at the school is unique and wonderful. Every student comes with the expectation to speak only French 7/24. It is challenging but worth the effort. The classes emphasize oral expression and comprehension with elements of grammar added as needed. Classes are small; for my springtime stays, at most 3 students. Max capacity of the school even in the summer is 15 students. Each student can have a room, small but adequate with a private bathroom/shower. Lunches and diners are prepared by a very good chef. Weekends are free to explore the area, easily accessed by train. Some weeks one can go on afternoon randonnées into the beautiful nearby countryside, visiting very photogenic villages and making several mile hikes into the rolling terrain.
