点评:Reef Encounter needs to be held accountable for the false advertising on their website. The photos displayed are clearly from its first years of operation and are not accurate for what we experienced on board. I want to say that some of the crew did try and were personable but the place was dishevelled, disorganised, and in serious need of renovations. The food was nothing like the photos on the website. We were served from mess trays and lined up like cattle with the rest of the crew and the young volunteers. I wouldn't have cared if this was what we were expecting but given the webpage this was far from what we were expecting!!! We were served par cooked rice which was then made into a very poor initation of friend rice for another meal and on our second night we were actually given rehashed leftovers from the day befores lunch menu. It is clearly now pitched to a much younger demographic on a budget and the GBR corporate has found a way to make the decrepit old tub pay by offering backpackers a volunteer program for free labour for free dives and dive Master trainee programs. Again I would have been fine with all this had it been what I was expecting. The website is B*S. The furniture was peeling, the carpet was worn, boards on the deck were broken with bad fill jobs and I saw a couple of railings bent and hanging loose. Being an Australian and a local to the area I was a bit ashamed to see that this was the standard of tourism we were selling to overseas guests.
