Custom Togo and Sao Tome Tour with Ashanti

点评：It was very easy communicating with the Ashanti administrative team who were extremely helpful in crafting a perfect custom itinerary for me to Togo and Sao Tome based on my specific cultural, nature and birding interests. Both my Togo guide (Valentine) and Sao Tome guide (Laudino) were great and exceeded my expectations. In Togo, Valentine made sure all of my touring including the local guide I used in Togoville and transfers went smooth; he also did a great job selecting a Zangbeto dance for me to watch, which was a lot of fun. My Sao Tome guide Laudino was among the best I have ever had for birding and I have done birding in a lot of places, e.g. in Guyana, Colombia, Borneo, India etc. Laudino and the local spotters helped me to see almost all the endemics despite only having two full days in Sao Tome for birding, which really impressed me. Moreover, it was enjoyable to be around them, as the terrain was difficult but it was still a good hiking experience in their company. Laudino also went above and beyond in helping me spot difficult species in Monte Carmo (e.g. Grosbeak and Fiscal) and around Macambrara / Bom Sucesso and Obo, he helped me to find the Scops Owl in quite challenging conditions, which is normally a nocturnal species. All of my Togo and Sao Tome drivers were polite, professional, very reliable and good at navigating traffic as well as off-roading in more difficult terrain.
