Best Day Cultural Experience with Lake Chala

点评：We visited Mkuu Village with friends for a cultural tour not sure what to expect at first, but we were truly surprised and impressed! The community has put so much effort into preserving Chagga culture, including a traditional house filled with artifacts and the revival of traditional songs and dances, which we happily joined.
We hiked through lush coffee and banana farms, visited an ancient Chagga cave, and enjoyed a taste of local banana beer before sitting down for an incredible traditional lunch. To wrap up the day, we rushed to Lake Chala a stunning crater lake on the border with Kenya. We hiked down into the caldera and even had a chance to kayak across the lake.
If you have more time, we highly recommend doing the two-day cultural experience with Lake Chala to enjoy everything more fully. An unforgettable day!
