Not pleasantly surprised

点评：We are visiting Herefordshire on holiday and I pre-booked and pre-paid for a 1 hour hack for my daughter (age 13), who is a competent novice rider. When we got there we were told they were very busy but they’d try to fit us in (1st surprise as we’d pre booked and paid)! We were then told to wait as Sallie was running late and still out with the previous ride. Half an hour after the scheduled hack time (2nd surprise), Sallie returned. My daughter was asked about her abilities and was taken to the horses. She was taken out to the woods with four other younger riders who were much less experienced and being led on foot (3rd surprise). My daughter was given the opportunity for one short canter, but otherwise walking only (no trotting). 30 minutes after they left, to my surprise (4th one), they returned. This was the biggest surprise as I had paid for a 1 hour hack! They then spent 15-20 minutes doing pony club games in the indoor arena. This was not what I was expecting or paid for. My daughter was extremely disappointed at the ride and how different the experience was to those she has had on other holidays. I wouldn’t recommend this to any serious hackers/riders.
