点评：I’m surprised of some of the negativity in the reviews! If you were in the south west, you’d pay £15 to park here for the day. The parking area was close to the beach, there are free toilets (again, in the SW you’d likely pay to use the facilities). There’s a cafe and a fish n chip shop that does excellent fish and chips to eat in the restaurant or take away. The beach is very clean with a mix of lovely sand and some stones. The surf was great and the people around the beach area friendly and chatty. There’s a big children’s playground just behind the beach, there are beach huts to hire, sandunes to explore. There seems to be some negativity around the bollards guarding the drop from the promenade to the beach, these, I imagine, are temporary, and I imagine they are not a preference from the local council but a short term necessity to satisfy health and safety. There is an ice cream van near the car park, EV charging points and a food van serving sweets for kids amongst other things. There are loads of car parking spaces. All in all, a lovely seafront area, well catered for with food and drink and friendly locals, a nice beach and a good day out.
