Mr Mulligans Newcastle的点评
点评：Mr Mulligans is an entertainment venue located next to The Gate in the centre of Newcastle. Consisting of arcade style racing games, VR machines, pool tables, darts, air hockey and of course, mini golf, this is an excellent venue to spend some time and pass a few hours either for a special occasion or, as we did, for something to do for date night that was different.
We booked the date night deal through the website which included a house drink each, access to all three of the themed golf courses and some nachoes to share. For £35, it is definitely worth it because for the nachos alone you pay £10 and around £6 each for the drinks we had meaning, effectively, that the golf was £13 for two of us which I think represents great value.
The guy who checked us in at the reception was friendly and polite whilst answering all of my questions and giving us our putters and balls.
As well as the golf and other amenities, there is a large bar and seating area. As part of date night, you get a house drink, which for us both was a pint of lager. We asked for our drinks at the start so we could take them around the course with us but you could wait until after (you can also have your nachos first or after). When you check in, you give your details and you are then given a putter, a choice of ball, a pencil and a score card. There are three different themed courses each consisting of 9 holes and you can play them in any order. It took us around 20 minutes to do each course before asking at the bar for our food. The nachos portion was large and well presented with jalapeños, guacamole, sour cream and salsa which comfortably fed us both. They also do pizzas, hot dogs and loaded fries as well as having a full drinks menu.
I love this place and I like how you can find quirky theming to interact with and take photos of. It has been a great edition to the Newcastle night scene and it was nice to see so many families out on a Saturday night spending time together.
For us, it was definitely worth the money we paid and we both enjoyed doing something a bit different as it appeared did the other couples we seen. If you are in Newcastle and want something fun to do for a couple of hours in a friendly environment, then this is a place you should consider. For couples and families alike, for special occasions or date night, you cannot go wrong with golf and Mr Mulligans.
