Adventure Aquarium的点评
点评：The aquarium has a lot to offer. I started with Zone A, and immediately I felt like I was transported to Australia with the blue penguins. Immediately after I was treated to a whole pirate themed tunnel. They created a story of a pirate called darkbeard searching for treasure, and they even gave descriptions of the animals you see as if he wrote them in pirate speak. At the end of the exhibit was a large event space for activities like games and scuba diver Q&As.
Zone B was small, just having a touch tank and penguin island, but zone C gave us a new kaleidoscope exhibit. It felt very open and spaced out, but a nice change of pace. Finally, Zone D was the main attraction with the hippos and sharks. I was amazed at how different the atmosphere was in Hippo Haven compared to Zone A’s pirate tunnel, and the shark walk was also immersive. Across the whole facility they played music to further immerse you. On my visit, they also had an armadillo out in an open pen for us to observe up close, the cutest thing yet.
I did have to travel far, but I’d say it was totally worth it. If they add just a few more things, such as a pinniped habitat, I’d have no problem calling it one of the top aquarium experiences in this side of the pacific.
