If you like being mugged come to playa de las americas

点评：As it hadn't stopped raining in the UK for weeks we decided to find somewhere sunny.
Booked a trip through Hays travel with jet2 holidays.
Got a hotel in between playa de las americas and Los Cristina.
As an older couple we wanted self catering and to honest the hotel was quite good apart from the pool being full of kids.
Walking around it seems half of Africa are here flogging handbags, sun glasses, beach towels etc.
The restaurant and bars have their own pricing policy.
You see a meal on the menu that looks great.
You receive a very poor offering and pay a lot more than stated.
I asked why and just got angry hand gestures.
I had a milkshake which on the board outside the restaurant looked creamy and at 9 euros it should have been.
I received a greasy spoon milkshake...glass of whisked milk with banana flavoured syrup.
Went for a drink, got a sangria ( can't go wrong here in Spain) it was the cheapest bitter wine in a jug with a cut up apple and a lemon....nasty
Got a couple of cock tails, couldn't even taste the alcohol and had to ask if they had forgotten it...more hand gestures.
This feeling of being ripped off at every opportunity came to a head on our third day in tenerife.
Sat down in a small cafe for a drink and noticed by manbag was open.
This was on me at all times.
We never stopped walking before we sat down yet something had unzipped my bag while it was under my arm and stole my wallet containing my bank cards and 500 euros.
We were off to a leather shop to buy a couple of jackets and a new bag for the wife as it was our anniversary.
This has to be the worst place that I've ever been where at every opportunity I'm being mugged off.
Pick pockets, expensive extremely poor food and alcoholic drinks that are either so bad you can't enjoy them or so weak that if you drank a gallon of the stuff you could still manage to run away from an African trying to flog you another pair of sunglasses.
The sun was nice...but that was it

但端上来的东西却很一般，而且价格比菜单上标的贵得多。
我问为什么，结果他们只是愤怒地比划着手势。
我点了一杯奶昔，餐厅外面的广告牌上显示它很浓郁，9 欧元的价格也应该如此。
结果端上来的是一杯很普通的奶昔……一杯加了香蕉味糖浆的打发牛奶。
去喝了点东西，点了一杯桑格利亚（在西班牙，这玩意儿肯定不会出错），结果发现是装在壶里最便宜的苦酒，里面只有切好的苹果和柠檬……难喝死了。
又点了两杯鸡尾酒，一点酒味都没有，还得问他们是不是漏了……结果又是一阵手舞足蹈。
这种处处被宰的感觉，在我们在特内里费岛的第三天达到了顶峰。
我们在一家小咖啡馆坐下喝饮料，却发现我的男士包是开着的。
我的包一直都带着。
我们一直走来走去，直到坐下才停下来，可我的包夹在胳膊下的时候，拉链竟然被人拉开了，钱包被偷走了，里面装着我的银行卡和500欧元。
我们本来打算去一家皮具店买几件夹克，再给老婆买个新包，因为那天是我们的结婚纪念日。
这绝对是我去过的最糟糕的地方，处处都被人宰。
扒手横行，食物贵得离谱却极其难吃，酒水要么难喝到无法下咽，要么淡得像灌了一加仑，喝完还能跑得动，免得被一个非洲人兜售太阳镜。
阳光不错……但也仅此而已。
