点评:One of the best parts of exploring the country in our RV is finding hidden gems that e've never heard of. This is one. In a beautifully restored Carnegie Library Building is the small museum devoted to Rockabilly, Rock, and Blues influences that shaped rock and roll for decades. There is a great exhibit detailing the life and music of Carl Perkins and the tributes paid to him by many musical legends including the Beatles, and Eric Clapton. Our host, Becky was outstanding. She was very friendly, knowledgeable, and a sweet person who clearly loves her job. She was also very informative and even gave us a short personal tour of the museum highlights after showing a production quality video that depicted how Jackson became the birthplace of rock and roll and how Jackson was the home of the first Hard Rock Cafe. Admission is only $10 and military/veterans' admission is only $5. Highly recommended if you are looking for the hidden gems of America.
