TOURIST TRAP - AVOID at all costs!

点评：AHUNGALLA SEA TURTLES CENTRE! BEWARE! It’s a HEAD ON SCAM for TOURISTS! It’s a TOURIST TRAP – MAINLY FOR MONEY!
We were so so disappointed on what we experienced!
My personal experience as a tourist – first, they judged you by skin color and nation – they can charge anything on you based on what they like –
We were being stupid (yes downright stupid) – they segregated you by batch, you entered a dark room, the manager charged us (per head) USD 25 (!!!) – Unlike what the travel agent told us it’s supposed to be USD 8/ per pax!
As it was too sudden, our minds have not been able to realize that LKR 7500 per pax is equivalent to USD 25 per pax! (STUPID US!)
The manager quickly asked you to tap your credit card before you can feel regret!
- The thing is – The most you can spend inside this average display house is 20-30 mins! With nothing much than that!
- The ticket they gave you – mentioned: Thank you for your donation! – there is No Pricing listed at all.
- This center truly RUINED my whole journey on Sri Lanka experience! It was supposed to be a very enjoyable 2-weeks Sri Lanka trip with all the UNESCO Sites, lovely people, beautiful scenery – But towards the final second day before we left – we encountered this TERRIBLE TOURIST TRAP – and the good impression towards Sri Lanka all gone with the wind (SAD)!
Notes to future visitors – PLEASE SET A PRICE TAG CEILING in your mind before entering – anything beyond what you wished to pay for, please DO NOT GO IN.
(If it were USD 8/ per pax, I would not feel the pain – BUT USD25 for merely 25-mins visit – this is too much!)
The money will go into the investor’s pocket – I hardly see any conservation and research there – ALSO – BEWARE of their OVERPRICED Gift Shop – it is even more expensive than airport shops price tags!

——这个中心彻底毁了我的斯里兰卡之旅！原本应该是一次非常愉快的两周斯里兰卡之旅，游览联合国教科文组织世界遗产，结识热情友好的当地人，欣赏美丽的风景——但在离开前的第二天，我们却遇到了这个可怕的旅游陷阱——之前对斯里兰卡的美好印象瞬间消失殆尽（太遗憾了）！
给未来游客的建议——请在进入之前设定一个价格上限——如果超出你的预算，请不要进去。
（如果每人8美元，我还能接受——但仅仅参观25分钟就要25美元——这也太贵了！）
这些钱最终都会落入投资者的口袋——我几乎看不到任何保护和研究的成果——还有——小心他们价格过高的礼品店——比机场商店的标价还要贵！
