Holiday Adventure in Cuba的点评
点评：Roberta and his team did a FANTASTIC job of showing us the best spots in and around Varadero. His knowledge of how to get you to the sights helps to make the day smooth. He knows when to avoid the crowds and get the best out of the area
We started in a lovely open Jeep Willy (1951 for you Jeep buffs!) and drove to the scuba and snorkeling place where everything was set up. His private instructor took only us (not the huge busload) on a 45 min slow tour of the coral reefs where we saw all kinds of Nemo type fish. (I noticed the larger tours are in and out quickish) it’s very safe and you can even scuba dive if you want there. Very cool. They serve drinks like PinaColatas in pineapples there for reasonable fees.
Next is horseback riding on the beach. Very nice and again private.
Off to Matansas if you want to see the town and a really cool tour of a old antique pharmacy with all the original woodwork and bottles etc. very interesting. The town is bustling also and can shop there for a bit or look at the history in the square
Roberto had arranged a lobster/chicken (your choice) lunch on the beach on the way back which was great. My hubby did some fishing while I lazed around in the water.
Next was the caves at Saturno which was pretty neat as well. You can swim there-not too cold but refreshing
Roberto was a great host and knowledgeable about the area and can fill you in on Cuban history and culture on the way. He is the authentic thing! Do it. You won’t be disappointed. We weren’t!!
