Nervous rider won over!
Korohe Horse Treks的点评
点评：I am not by any means an enthusiastic horse rider, but I was travelling with my adult daughters and teenage granddaughter and they were all keen to go on a ride. I made it clear from the beginning I needed a kind and gentle horse I could trust. I was not disappointed!
When we arrived, we were met by Sammii and John, who made us feel very welcome and relaxed. Once on our carefully chosen horses, John gave us a detailed lesson in how to ‘steer’. This made me a little nervous as I wasn’t confident I would remember everything and my horse might decide to do its own thing. He didn’t. (Well, maybe he did, but if he did, it was the right thing!)
My horse, Maru, (meaning kind and gentle) was the perfect choice for me. He may have slowed the horses behind me down, but I was happy. He was reluctant at first to cross the river, but with a bit of encouragement he waded through. And continued to cross at the other crossings without too much trouble.
We had chosen a one hour trek, which was a good choice for us.
For anyone who hasn’t ridden before, or is a nervous rider, I would definitely recommend booking a ride with Korohe. You won’t be disappointed. For more confident and experienced riders, there are other options, so you won’t be disappointed either.
