点评：I purchased the enchanted forest and river trek for my best friend and I to do on her birthday. When we got there we were left to groom a couple horses for a little while and then eventually us and about 7 others were directed onto our respective horses. The workers were polite but they were not warm, welcoming or reassuring. There was a short introduction to the best way to hold the reins and direct the horses. My best friend said she was feeling very nervous, and the man worker nearby made a couple right noises, before telling her that the horse she was riding was one of the grumpiest and joked that she must be doing okay because he hadn’t bitten her yet. When I proceeded to tell this man and the group that it was her birthday, he said ‘happy birthday, ah, a birthday fall off! Just kidding!’ She absolutely loves horses. So she was gutted that her anxiety inevitably got worse, so much so that she had to stop a quarter of the way through and was walked back to the base. When she originally stopped, the two workers on the trek with us said they’d never had to stop before. This obviously made her feel stupid and embarrassed. I continued the trek with her horse tied to mine and although my nerves wore off, the ride didn’t get any more comfortable or reassuring.
I enjoyed the ride but I’m gutted my best friend wasn’t able to fully enjoy hers. I would ask that in future the workers refrain from making anxiety-inducing statements and creating feelings of doubt about the horses behaviour and safety overall, especially when the rider says they are scared. I’m also concerned that there was no safety protocol, and there was “nobody back at the base”, which could’ve been terrible if someone got injured or there was an accident, as there was nobody to contact for assistance and make emergency pickups, etc.
I paid $280 for this and the levels of professionalism, kindness and safety did not match up.
