点评：My family and I often vacation at Hilton Head, and we recommend a stop at Pinckney Island for anyone who is in the area. It is an excellent spot for walking or bicycle riding, and the wildlife viewing can be spectacular. We have only ever been there in May or June, but there are always an incredible number of birds to see as well as alligators, deer, and other creatures. It can get very warm there, so be sure to bring water to drink and be advised there is no potable water or bathrooms available on the island. The park is free of charge and open from sunrise to sunset. On this visit we had bicycles and rode about 6 or 7 miles, but you can see much of the island with a shorter ride than that (though you could ride a longer distance as well). If you just want a short walk, go to Ibis Pond, and you won't be disappointed. There is a picnic area on the island, but you will need to take your trash with you when you leave. Pinckney Island is a beautiful natural treasure I encourage everyone to experience.
