Palazzo Forani的点评
点评：Palazzo Forani is a magical place; you truly feel that you have stepped back in time. The village is all original, with the cobblestones of yester years and the countryside views that cannot be fully described to give them justice.
We had our annual family reunion here (group of 8), and the accommodations were beautiful. We even took a family photo that I describe as our “Dalton Abbey Portrait”. The ladies that cooked us breakfast each morning were friendly and the food prepared was great. There was nothing we asked for that we did not receive! And all of this with the ladies not speaking a word of English. I was able to practice my elementary Italian and we had a fun time hand gesturing.
In the village itself there were several small family-owned restaurants and local bars, and again no English, this made it that much more special. One of the local restaurants opened on a day where normally they were closed just to serve our family!!! The home-made pasta dishes and wine were amazing. I am still thinking of them now that I am back home.
The property manager was extremely responsive, answering all my questions before we arrived within a few hours of me sending the questions. There is also a local lady who helps during your stay, and she speaks English! Susan was so immensely helpful and friendly. We were also given a tour of the original Forani castle which we found to be so enjoyable. Many of the original furniture, paintings, flooring, tapestry are there. We felt so special being so close to such treasures.
The property is about an hour and 30 minutes from Rome. There is a local train station about a 20min drive which you can take into Rome and other areas of Italy which makes this location quite convenient.
Overall, I give the Palazzo Forani my highest recommendation!
