点评：900 yen, great value. This was an amazing museum with several unique features.
The -20 degree room with frozen displays was so interesting. Prior to entry you dress in a warm coat with hood. If you wear spectacles they are foggy after leaving the cold room. This museum then has a special warm fan to “defog” your glasses with an explanation of the reason your glasses became foggy.
There is a general exhibition area with English language explanations on displays. There are exhibits of vehicles used and clothing worn in the Arctic. There is information about Antarctica as well as the northern hemisphere.
The final highlight is the Dome Theatre with a 15 minute whole sky video of the Sea of Okhotsk. Set up with reclining seats to look at the ceiling it was a four seasons film about the area. Using drones, photos and foil from ice breakers, it was amazing.
