点评：The Marudhamalai Temple, Coimbatore. I've read there are 837 steps from the base of the hill to the temple. I didn't think to count them but would believe this to be a true figure.
There are 2 stairways to the temple. The longer way from the base of the hill where the stalls are, or turn right at the base and go by bus fur a few rupees to the upper carpark where there are 50 steps at the front of the temple plus 2 short flights to the left.
The views from the top are truely amazing and worth the climb. The streets are easy but avoid the heat of midday. There is no charge to visit this venue.
There are a few options getting to and from Coimbatore to the temple. We chose to go be taxi (300 rupees) and return by bus ( I think less than 50 rupees). The buses get pretty packed and travel is about an hour.
