点评:My husband, who is not a "temple lover" really liked the White Temple because of its more contemporary interior theme & pictures. Actually, we were both pretty blown away by the exterior, as well. The shining & tiny mirrors, the radiant whiteness from its color & glass inserts, the amazing filigreed, detailed, almost fragile-to-the-touch design, the majestic ramp leading to the main Temple; all created by & with the personal money of a Thai artist, Mr. Kolipipat. I was so intrigued by the inside murals & wish that I could have taken pictures of them (it's prohibited) so that I could give them more attention & time. Another amazing structure on the property is, oddly, the men's & women's bathrooms, which have large, golden signs & facades. This gold is apparently, supposed to represent money & worldly desires while the White Temple represents meditation & spirituality, even though it has some evil-looking components. There is also a monks' residence, a structure for hanging wishing tags & a museum. With its reflecting pond, beautiful white structure, & even the golden bathrooms (!), you should make a visit here. It costs 100 baht (free for Thai citizens)& the price will be 200 baht starting next year. Oh, and make sure to sit on the bench near the entrance next to the latest super-heroes. It's very unique!
