点评：Absolutely stunning and peaceful – a perfect escape near Mount Fuji
We visited Lake Yamanaka on a hot summer day, hoping to enjoy clear views of the iconic Mount Fuji reflected in the water. While the mountain itself remained hidden behind a thick blanket of heavy fog that day, the lake still managed to impress us in its own magical way.
The heavy fog created an ethereal, almost mystical atmosphere around the lake. The mist rolling gently over the water and surrounding forests gave everything a soft, dreamy quality that felt incredibly serene and beautiful. Instead of the classic Fuji postcard shot, we experienced a quieter, more intimate side of the area that many visitors miss.
The lakeside path was easy and pleasant to walk, with lovely views of the traditional Japanese houses, rental boats, and the calm water. Despite the heat, the breeze coming off the lake kept us comfortable, and we found several shaded spots to sit and simply soak in the peaceful ambiance.
Lake Yamanaka felt refreshingly less crowded than some of the other Fuji Five Lakes, making it easy to find your own little slice of tranquility. The combination of the foggy scenery, fresh air, and relaxed vibe made it one of the highlights of our trip to the Mount Fuji region.
Highly recommended, even (or especially) when Fuji decides to play hide-and-seek behind the clouds. We'll definitely return on a clearer day, but we’re so glad we experienced its moody, atmospheric beauty too.
