Reimagined museum open
Cleveland Museum of Natural History的点评
点评：We arrived at the opening hour. There is a parking deck and meters on the street (wade oval). Strollers, wagons, walkers, and wheelchair friendly. Babies to elderly were able to get around easily. It's not just following one path through the areas. It is designed to encourage wandering and exploring. Much more "Ohio-centric" now with plenty of hands-on or up close exhibits. Outdoor areas were nice even in the winter!
It's so nice to have dinosaurs bathed in natural light from large windows. You can walk all the way around them to really see how huge they are. Ample seating if you need to take a break.
I did like seeing that many of my favorites were still there. Balto, Lucy, Dunkle, and the stegosaurus at the entrance.
Would I go back in the summer? Absolutely. The revamp of the museum made the area more bright and inviting.
I do suggest making a star exhibit and the earthquake exhibit. Plenty of people just sat and chilled by the earth's rotation pendulum demonstration.
No hushed tones. Family groups chattered away at the frequent stops.
Hint, as you enter from the parking deck, read the sign about the lines on the floor.
If you need a place for out of town guests to visit or kids need to burn off a little energy as they learn something, this is on my recommendation list. Took us 3.5 hours to go at a leisurely pace. Add time if going to planetarium.
