新雪谷村滑雪胜地的点评
点评：Tree skiing in deep powder, which there
was plenty of, was the highlight for me, otherwise I found the limited number of groomed runs to be crowded and boring. My wife, who does not ski in the trees, found that she had skied everywhere she could after just a few days. We had plenty of fresh snow, but access to the top of the mountain was limited by high winds, poor visibility, and inoperative ski lifts. This meant that fresh powder on the trails was skied out after 1-2 hours.
The poor layout of the four resorts that connect, sort of, at the top of the mountain, make it difficult to get around and the majority of our group preferred the less crowded runs at Rusutsu over Niseko.
The friends we traveled with, beautiful scenery, and excellent food the highlight of the trip, but skiing in Niseko didn’t make up for the effort, time, and expense of the trip to Japan.
