点评:We skied 5 days here with our ski club. There was some power only one day. Some of the runs were icy. Many ski areas in Colorado have nicer conditions and set up. There are not many options for beginners here. Lines for some of the lifts were long. One day some of the lifts were closed due to the wind. There are very limited places to get food and/or hot chocolate or coffee on the mountain or at the base. Dinner options are also limited. The large Hilton Hotel at the base was nothing special and just made us feel like we were back in the United States. If you do not have a car it is difficult to get around. The resort bus is free but runs infrequently and does not go to any of the other ski areas. To reach Downtown Niseko to go to any shops it was nearly a 30 minute ride on the bus. To get to any of the other ski areas you must take a city bus which also run infrequently. I also had to pay to use the city bus because I did not have an all area ski pass. My pass was only a day pass so this was disappointing to have to pay 4 yen each way just to get to an adjacent ski area. Also there are no ski racks on the outside of the bus so everyone has to crowd inside the bus with their skis and snowboards. We also found Downtown Niseko to be unimpressive. We found many large hotels but very limited shops and dining options. One night we took the resort bus to Kutchen only to find many restaurants were booked up for the evening. Walking around Kutchen was very hazardous as both the streets and sidewalks were covered with snow and ice.
