National Memorial Arboretum的点评
点评：Easy to find with clear signage on the way. Friendly greeting from staff and plenty of parking. I felt that £8 for parking was a little expensive, however there is no admission fee and the signs said that car parking charges would be used directly for the Memorial Arboretum which is positive. Visited the cafe at the start of our visit - there was a decent selection of food & drink with reasonable prices. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Toilet facilities were great, very clean and modern. Volunteers were helpful in advising us of possible routes to explore the grounds. We spent a peaceful hour and a half walking around and looking at many of the memorials. It was clear to see how much time and care had been spent. The whole place felt very humbling to visit. The setting was tranquil and the trees, flowers and water added to the ambience. We were able to reflect on some of the individuals who lost their lives and felt the work which had gone into this site and commemorating all of these people was very impressive. We ran out of time as they closed at 4pm (a later closing of 4:30pm/5pm would have been preferable for us), but we will visit again on another occasion to see and read more.
