A very memorable experience
National Memorial Arboretum的点评
点评：After having driven by the exit for here several times in the past few years, we finally managed to schedule a visit. We booked our parking in advance which costs £5, instead of £8. We paid £7.50 each for the Land Train which takes 45 minutes to complete a tour of the more important memorials. It's very highly recommended because it gives you an overview and allows you to orientate yourself and decide to which memorials you want to return.
Highlights for us:
• Shot at Dawn, especially if you stay for the 20 minute talk.
• Armed Forces Memorial.
• Northern Ireland related memorials.
This is spread over a large site which may be awkward for those with mobility problems. It's great to see a selection of donated electric mobility scooters available for hire. Thanks to Terry, my wife was able to scoot round as many memorials as we wanted. Great value for £10!
