North Coast 500 the easy way.

点评：There are not enough superlatives in my vocabulary to describe our six day tour with Robert, viewing almost 50 different locations with stunning scenery, castles, stately homes, gardens, harbours, waterfalls, ruins, lochs, to mention just a handful. From initial contact with Sally-Ann on e-mail to the final good bye to Robert at the end of the tour everything went smoothly.
Two oldies, one a bit doddery, and our daughter had a tour specifically designed for us by Sally-Ann and Robert. A few hick ups along the way caused by a Force 11 storm passing through were not enough to derail the tour and alternate accommodation was sorted out by Sally-Ann within hours of being advised that our hotel had to cancel our booking at they had no electricity. We even managed to have a drink with Sally-Ann at John O'Groats.
Robert is very friendly, a Historian, a Geographer, a Geologist, very knowledgeable and a great raconteur. He took us off the beaten track to locations obviously not visited by many people travelling the North 500 by themselves. The Range Rover is comfy and well equipped for the journey with wet weather gear and other items. At the 4000 year old Grey Cairns of Camster, Robert even supplied knee pads so the two ladies could crawl through the narrow entranceway to enter the burial chamber whilst I stood guard outside with my walking sticks to fend off marauding sheep!
It was not all one way however, we did enlighten Robert on where he could find sympathy. If you do the tour; we travelled 11,000 kilometres to do so; and I highly recommend that you do, you can ask him the answer.
