点评:We found this to be one of the best zoos we have visited. It is set in a canyon to the west of Portland with a meandering path through the various exhibits. All enclosures were well documented and were clustered by geographic region.
Plenty of places to stop and rest or eat and drink. We stopped first at the coffee shop just inside the gate.
The biggest downside is that, being in a canyon, what goes down must also come up again. If you have trouble walking you may want to discuss with the staff at the entrance.
Another issue is than in a couple of places the circular route is not well signposted. We found ourselves lost a couple of times. Especially at the amphitheater.
Also note that you have to guess how much time you need to enter the parking system before you enter. I guessed 3 1/2 hours and that was not enough forcing us to have to rush the last few enclosures. Be safe and get 4 or 5 hours, especially if you want to stop and eat.
