The Singleton Distillery的点评
点评：I hate to say it but this was our least favorite tour of the 7 whisky tours we did while in Scotland - the distillery is great, great grounds, but it just felt "forced" and didn't feel natural at all - it's not just my experience, a person who enjoys whisky regularly, but so did say my wife who was just a great trouper supporting her husband on all these tours :)
It is also worth mentioning that it is definitely not for people with movement limitation - lots of stairs, and if you don't do well with heights... you should probably reconsider this - the reason is that a few times you go on higher floors and the floors have crates that are see-through - the bridges between buildings for me were good, but the floors... not so much :) they do warn you about it in advance so they are perfectly transparent about it - I "survived" but not sure if I would repeat it knowing what I saw, it should be pure fun, not stress so perhaps reconsider your distillery if fear of heights is an issue for you
Probably my favorite part was their gift shop - very colorful, cool gadgets, they are part of Johnnie Walker portfolio so you can buy many other whisky products here as well - there are some smaller Singleton products here as well, through the prices are a bit too expensive in my modest opinion
My biggest "beef" with the company is that they have 3 different "outlets" of their whisky - one for USA, one for Japan, and one for UK/Europe I believe or something like that - so you can't buy this whisky from ORD everywhere else - and yet they all go by the same name - it's just a bizarre marketing strategy that I am simply not a fan of... kind of a shame knowing at the distillery that despite liking their product you can't get it outside of it - and we aren't talking about something rare or super exclusive, just a brand practice...

我最喜欢的部分大概就是他们的礼品店了——色彩缤纷，各种酷炫的小玩意儿应有尽有。他们是尊尼获加旗下的品牌，所以你也可以在这里买到很多其他威士忌产品——这里也有一些小批量的单一麦芽威士忌，不过恕我直言，价格有点贵。
我对这家公司最大的不满是，他们的威士忌有三个不同的销售渠道——一个面向美国，一个面向日本，还有一个面向英国/欧洲（大概是这样）——所以你没办法在其他地方买到ORD的这款威士忌——但它们用的却是同一个名字——这简直是一种莫名其妙的营销策略，我实在无法接受……在酒厂里得知自己喜欢他们的产品却买不到，真是有点可惜——而且我们说的也不是什么稀有或超级稀有的威士忌，只是品牌的一种惯用伎俩而已……
