点评:After reading some of the previous reviews we were not quite sure what to expect however we all enjoyed it. Only 5 of us in total on the tour.
It is not an all singing, all dancing type of tour but a lovely walk through the forest. Despite only being a short distance from the train station and main roads, the forest is peaceful. You can hear and apprieciate the forest, streams and nature. The walk is a lttle challenging in places, climbing over rocks across a stream, and up steep climb on way back.
Evan guided us along the walk with stories from the 'dreamtime' and gave us some insite into the aboriginal people who lived and travelled through here.
We were able to taste a few plants which were important to the aboriginal people and Evan talked about how different plants would have been used. We were encouraged to touch the plants around us and get a feel for the nature around us.
Evan talked to us about the symbols and stories from the Dreamtime and how these were used, plus we got to see some of the original carvings which you would never have found/seen if you went on your own.
There was plenty of opportunity to ask questions
Perfect day to get away from the typical tourist tours and a different way of learning. Would definitely recommend
