点评：The Palace of Sheki Khan’s, located in the city fortress, takes a special place with its magnificent wall paintings and colorful windows’ mosaic. The Palace of Sheki Khan’s is an example of wood engravings with glass work- known as shebeke. These are intricate stained-glass windows made from thousands of colored glass pieces set into wooden lattices without nails or glue, creating vibrant, mosaic-like patterns that cast colorful light into the rooms. The wall paintings depict a deep meaning, guide is needed to understand the meaning, additional 10 Mannat was paid by us. The area of interior rooms is quite small but guided trip was worth it. The facade of the palace is richly painted with drawings displaying scenes of hunting and war, as well as intricate geometrical and plant patterns.
Located in Sheki’s historic center, surrounded by 500-year-old plane trees( chinar), the palace is a symbol of Azerbaijan’s cultural resilience. Admission costs 9 AZN for foreigners. Photography inside is prohibited, I wish if it could be allowed, it would expand its popularity.
