Chesser Island Homestead/Boardwalk的点评
点评：I'm confused as to which trail I'm reviewing, so I'll review both.
Chesser Island Homestead is a .7 mile loop trail that features an old homestead from settlers in the 1920s. The settlement is interesting, but the buildings weren't open. There's some information boards.
Ridley's Island boardwalk is a spur trail off this loop. It's a boardwalk to nowhere interesting, as I found out. No views & no wildlife.
The rest of the trail is easy & a nice walk through the jungle like swamp.
Chesser Island boardwalk is a 1.5 mile there & back boardwalk trail. It's easy, but very hot. Full sun. There's some shelters to get out of the sun for a while.
It wasn't buggy when we took it, but I can see where in the summer months it can be brutal.
I enjoyed the birds, plants & saw some turtles. There's an observation tower (Owls Roost) that gives you an elevated view of a lake. Bring your binoculars!
