点评:I visited this shrine in June 2024 after reading some reviews that sparked my interest. It is known for its unique layout, featuring a Japanese garden in the center, surrounded by buildings that enshrine many deities.
I first traveled to Yoshino Station and took a shuttle bus to Kinpusenji Temple. I wanted to see the temple and purchase a goshuin book made of washi paper. The walk from Kinpusenji to the shrine took approximately an hour. Along the way, I enjoyed many beautiful sceneries, cultural buildings, and other shrines. There were signs and information indicating that this area is particularly stunning in spring during the cherry blossom season.
When I arrived at the shrine, I encountered just one family with a baby who had come to pray and arrived by car. After that, I rarely saw anyone else there. The atmosphere was incredibly tranquil, with a refreshing breeze. The shrine felt sacred and seemed to be a place for rituals. The buildings blended harmoniously with the natural surroundings, and the Japanese garden in the center appeared wild and aesthetically pleasing.
I truly loved visiting this shrine and wish to return someday.
