Hidden gem of a restaurant and pub

点评：Hidden behind an unassuming exterior lies a beautiful, warm, cosy pub with a huge, stunning restaurant behind.
We reluctantly went to the Lazy Hill on a recommendation for the food, but had been delaying it as the outside looks drab and run down. We were so impressed when we stepped through the front door. The decor is cosy, modern and welcoming whilst keeping original pub features. The restaurant behind the pub is a big, spacious dining area, with real ales on the bar, and food which is to die for. The decor is like a swanky boutique restaurant, not what you’d expect on a small high street in Walsall!
We ordered drinks at the bar and food from the order point. The food arrived in an appropriate time and every single dish was delicious. Our party ordered the large mixed grill and the seafood platter (both to share) and a chicken tikka masala, with a selection of sides. The portions were generous, the service was spot on and we left with takeaway containers of leftovers.
We really didn’t expect such a stunning restaurant, both visually and gastronomically!
The prices were impressive too. The bill for food was around £21 per head, and 4 soft drinks (including one tap water) and a pint of ale was just over £10.
We could not fault anything in this restaurant and will definitely be back for more!
