Explaining Bad Reviews with a Good One

点评：I’ve grew up 15 minutes from here and have countless memories of the animals from visiting as a kid. Some of the reviews I’ve seen about poor facilities are completely false. I have been behind the scenes many many times doing camps as a kid and even to the point of considering a job. The facilities are older, but well kept. All staff absolutely love the animals and jobs and take great care of them. The animals know it too, some of the ones you can be in the enclosure with know when a certain keeper comes around. The facilities may look “dirty” but they are cleaned often, they are animals, things get dirty. It may be a small, older zoo but that does not mean the animals aren’t being taken care of like some of the reviews. People come 1 time and judge. I’ve had visits where it’s cold and the animals aren’t inside keeping warm and you don’t see much, however that is a small zoo. If you constantly want to see animals go to a bigger zoo where they have 5+ animals per exhibit. The poor reviews about its condition are completely false and this is an extremely underrated zoo!
