点评：Chain broke on my eMTB. My wife and I drove up from Oxford to enjoy mountain biking. Getting the bikes in good shape and putting them on the car bike rack and bringing our bike gear takes a lot of prep and time. So you can imagine how peeved I was when the chain broke on my wife’s bike after 10 mins of riding. What was worse was I didn’t bring my bike tool kit and box of spares.
We were near Wells so we Googled bike shops in Wells thinking there might be a shop but unlikely to be open on a Sunday. But as it was only a mile away we pushed our bikes to the shop. But we thought it wasn’t there as Google Maps was taking us into a residential area and not a street of shops.
But no. It’s a full blown workshop in a house with all the equipment and it was open. I thought it was an illusion.
The chap there, whose name I regret not getting, was amazing and so friendly and helpful. Within 10 mins the chain was fixed. He gave me a spare chain link in case of another break and we were on our way.
We couldn’t believe our luck. He saved our biking holiday. Pity more folk aren’t like that.
A massive thank you.
