点评:Built around 1860, the Guenther House and Museum was wonderful with its insight into the Guenther family history and its dynasty, Pioneer Flour Mills. Located right on the San Antonio River with the large mill towers in the background was an impressive sight. After having a fabulous breakfast in the Guenther House restaurant downstairs, we went up to the museum and company store. On the upper level their parlor is stunning with many late Victorian influences, and part of the museum is in the old library. The company store is in the old music room and what was a bedroom. It was nice to look at all the antiques, history and mill memorabilia from the past 165 years. On the 3rd floor there is a roof garden with wonderful views of San Antonio. The 2 room store was nice carrying many of Pioneers product line as well as other kitchen accessories. I bought one of my favorites, the Pioneer sweet cream waffle and pancake mix to take home since it's difficult to find at times in our market.
