点评：There are other lovely Welsh villages where parking doesn’t cost £170.00 for two hours. The village hall and the notorious “Initial Parking Ltd” who operate their car park (the only easily findable one in town) are profiteering massively from having machines which won’t accept cash or card. An app which takes ages to download in a near zero phone reception area (lots of confused Parker’s trying) and then refused to accept bank authorised payments (screen grabs proving it ignored). You appeal with proof. They don’t tell you it’s declined for two months(“we emailed refusal”. No you didn’t). Then you get a letter (not an email) demanding £170.00 “or else”!
Village hall owners do not reply to emails requesting help either. Are they in on the scam also one wonders?
The internet rating sites - Google, Trustpilot - Parking review sites etc are rammed with complaints about these people & Abersoch in particular. A fabulous business model - make it impossible for honest people to pay so you can turn a few coppers into £100s in seconds. DVLA supply your details to them for £2.50. Two months later it’s £170.00 - and it’s apparently legal! AVOID ABERSOCH UNTIL THEIR COUNCIL STOPS THIS HIGHWAY ROBBERY.
