Possum Kingdom State Park的点评
点评：We have camped a lot in tents and cabins. While my kids have been to Possum kingdom for youth and Boy Scouts camps, this was out first time going to Possum Kingdom State Park. Some people must not go to state parks often because Texas has much better parks. We stayed at Chaparrel 110. The website says up to 2 tents; however, the sites are so very small, there is almost no options for tent placement. One my teens were using had to be pitched right next to the road. We tried to clear away rocks to pitch the tents but there were so many it was a losing battle. Thank goodness we always bring our backpack blowups. The quiet rules are not enforced. We had a huge group stay across from us. They flashed lights, had music playing, trucks running and babies screaming all night long. I agree with those that also stated the sites are right on top of one another. Not enough room to enjoy nature at all. The bathrooms were very clean but also very hot. Some parks have AC in the bathrooms. This one does not. Keep that in mind for the summer. While the lake is nice, the park is not very pretty. We were thankful we rented a boat at a marina up the road and didn't spend much time in the park.
