Sunscreen, water, download maps ahead of time.

点评：Amazing. We didn’t use a service and chose to drive ourselves. I was worried we wouldn’t be able to handle it- since I wouldn’t describe our family as outdoorsy but we did great. We downloaded the maps ahead of time as there is no service when you are in the park.
We stopped at the visitor center and got maps, used the restroom, chatted with the rangers, and applied a little extra sunscreen. It’s best to have a full tank of gas and snacks & water in the car just in case. We are a family with 2 tweens and chose trails that were “easy” we did 3 hikes total. I think my kids favorite trail was Skull Rock trail and quite possibly where we spent the most amount of time. We also chose to drive the extra 30 mins (15 in/out) to the Keys Look out which was BEAUTIFUL. My daughter really enjoyed the Barker Dam trial which has the petroglyphs - totally cool. We spent the entire day here and took our time. The bathrooms were all clean- some better smelling than others. We enjoyed our time and here at the park.
