点评:We visited Vinícola Santa Elena a few weeks ago and, unfortunately, the experience did not live up to expectations. Having visited other vineyards in the region, we were looking forward to learning more about the estate, enjoying a guided tasting, and spending a relaxed afternoon there — but it fell short in several areas.
Firstly, the service was disorganized. We arrived on time for our reservation but were left waiting without clear instructions, and the staff did not seem particularly welcoming or attentive. The wine tasting itself felt rushed, with very little explanation of the wines, their origins, or the winemaking process. Compared to other wineries where the staff show real passion for their craft, this felt impersonal and more like a routine.
The explanation at the foot of vineyards was as quick as it can be and we only step into the first raw.
I don't recommend to take children as there was nothing for them to do, although I called in advance to book and I was assured to bring the kids for a fantastic experience.
The entry price of $400 MXN per adult and $200 MXN per child is extremely expensive for what turned out to be a poor experience.
The facilities are attractive, but some of them they did not feel well maintained, and the overall atmosphere lacked warmth. We expected more engagement, storytelling, and detail to make the visit memorable.
On the positive side, the wines themselves were good, but without context or guidance during the tasting, it was difficult to fully appreciate them. For the price paid, we left feeling underwhelmed.
Unfortunately, based on this visit, I would not recommend Vinícola Santa Elena as a top choice compared to other wineries in the area that offer a much more informative and welcoming experience and cost effective.
