What a great cycling trip!

点评：Now that we have had a moment to breathe,I wanted to expand on the trip review. As you are aware we got off to a bumpy start. To balance your excellent review , I think a couple things could have gone better with that experience. 1) optimally- the driver could have called 2) the number we were given given could have called back much sooner,3) our disappointment could have been mollified by more than a “sorry”.
Once the driver dropped us off in Alcúdia , it was easy finding our hotel….. which was wonderful. Perfect location and it was easy to retrieve our bikes in the late afternoon. Jay’s bike needed some adjustments (squeaky brakes) ,the attendant was very accommodating and the bikes were great. Directions on our phones were flawless and we enjoyed Selva with it’s small village vibe, Port de Soller and the terrific view from our hotel room and Estellencs which was back to the small town vibe that we loved.
The drivers in Mallorca are wonderful, no horn beeping in the mountains and exceedingly patient as we biked around the many hairpin turns in the mountains. The food everywhere was fresh and reasonably priced. Except for having my phone fall out of my raincoat pocket in the taxi back to the airport (luckily we had met bikers from Durango, Colorado in the spa the night before and they are bringing my phone back to the US) the trip after our first impression was flawless.
