点评：My family, consisting of two “middle-aged” adults, our 18- and 19-year-old boys and my 70+ father spent the end of 2024 and beginning of 2025 in Romania and Hungary. Ovidiu was our tour guide and driver for our trip from Bucharest, Romania through Sighișoara, Romania, which included stops in Sinai, as well as Bran and Peles Castles.
He was an outstanding guide at both locations and within the city. He had an extraordinary knowledge of the history of the sites and Romania as a whole.
One of my favorite things to do when I travel is to sit in the front seat of the van and talk to our tour guide. Some conversations are deep and meaningful, others more topical, but getting to know individuals during a trip is a highlight for me.
The time spent in conversation with Ovidiu was extraordinary. We covered everything from Neolithic Eastern Europe through to the current elections. We talked about his family and mine, his personal history and the trials and tribulations of being in the tourism industry during COVID. I can't emphasize how deep and broad his knowledge is.
He was accommodating and genuinely concerned about my family’s well-being and wanted to make certain we learned as much about where we visited as possible while also enjoying ourselves. He was also an excellent driver. (I've posted a photo of my family with him in front of Bran Castle. He's the one on the right.)
I have taken similar trips with my family using tour guides / drivers in several other countries including the former Yugoslavia, Egypt, Greece and the Baltics. Ovidiu was one of the best we’ve had! If you have the opportunity to book his services, do it without hesitation.
