Great sports facility but maintenance is very poor

点评：I've been a member for 6 months and mainly use the gym and spa area. This place has the potential to be a very good facility but the maintenance of the facilities is poor, which points to poor management.
Only one of the two showers in the male changing (spa area) was in operation for 2 to 3 months. The other shower has finally been fixed but they have failed to put the door back on and the tiling still needs to be done which will cause further problems to the wall.
The steam room is often not working. Today, the sauna was just 40 degrees and was obviously not working to it's normal capacity.
Water stations are regularly out of order. The water station outside the gym was not working today and the water station in the spa took about 3 months to be fixed and you had to fill your bottle up with a dribble.
Lockers often don't work and it is problematic getting your coin back out of the locker.
Some of the machinery in the gym is showing a lot of wear and tear and it needs upgrading in comparison to other cheaper gyms (Gym Group), where the equipment is noticeably better.
Parking can be an issue in the main car park and at peak times, you normally have to resort to the overflow area. When swimming galas are on, you may not get a space.
Plus points - the swimming pool, squash courts and rock climbing areas are first class facilities.
The fitness classes are also well run with good instructors.
The cafe is pretty decent although it is mobbed out with students on lap tops from the University at times.
For a monthly fee of £60 I am expecting better. The management need be aware that they need to do better.
