点评:I recently stayed at the Salini Hotel and had booked a manicure and pedicure combo for two (for me and my maid of honour) MONTHS in advance in preparation for my wedding day. Despite nobody responding to my booking query via email (which I got from their website) I got somebody else, a resident in Malta, to call the hotel/spa and to book directly, which they got a response for and a confirmation of booking. A little peeved, I let this slide as I had other stressors with regards to wedding planning from abroad already.
On the morning of my wedding (29th May 2022 - if you want to check your records to verify that I actually had this appointment), I turned up with my maid of honour to the spa. We were greeted by two lovely members of staff who then tended to our manicure and pedicure. Their kindness/friendliness and the generous glass of prosecco given (as listed in the package) was about the only positive thing out of the entire experience.
Like I said, we booked MONTHS in advance, yet there were only TWO nail polish colours available for us to choose from - bright pink and dark red! None of these colours were up to scratch as NEITHER would go with my wedding dress. I was expecting a range of colours for me to choose from. The excuse we got was that they had ordered new nail polishes since the stock was taken to the other Myoka Spa. Luckily, my maid of honour had 2 pots of nail polish with her in her suitcase that would fit with my dress better. The ladies then proceeded to paint our nails with OUR OWN POTS OF NAIL POLISH!
This to me was absolutely UNACCEPTABLE given that I paid 200 EUROS for this service and also, as mentioned before, I booked MONTHS in advance (ample notice for ordering nail polish and having a sufficient range of colours available for the customer/bride to choose from)!
In the end, I did pay the 200 euros (do check your records if you don't believe me!) as I did not want to dwell and argue about this on the day of my wedding! Even if this had not been my wedding day, it would still simply be unacceptable given the cost of it all! Had it not been my wedding day, NO WAY would I have agreed to pay 200 euros for somebody using MY OWN nail varnish to paint my nails.
I would appreciate a response to this review and would hope that there would be further compensation for this SHOCKING service! (Again, do check your records to verify this!)
