点评：One of the highlights of the Salt Lake City region is taking a drive - or camping or fishing - in the Uintah - Wasatch - Cache National Forest.
Pack your sunscreen, camera, walking shoes or hiking boots, and a picnic lunch and enjoy fabulous views.
The drive is actually shorter than it seems, but there are plenty of pull-offs and photo viewpoints. There are plenty of quiet areas with few people, but campsites and fishing lakes will be busy in season. Be sure to check road conditions and gas up before setting out.
The highway is very good and safe, but drive smart. It's curvy, sometimes steep, and has some pretty dramatic cliffs near the roadside. Cell phone service will go in and out. Side roads, trails, and fishing and camping areas, be sure your vehicle is appropriate for the terrain.
Be on the lookout - wildlife. In past trips, we've spotted bears, deer, elk, and moose. We kept a safe distance and attempted some photos.
Plenty of places to park the car and stroll or hike.
Either route - via Kamas, UT or Evanston, WY is fun and scenic.
