点评:It was a continuous column of water flowing down from one step to the other slightly changing its direction of flow until it reached the lowest part where it spread on the rock surface broadening towards the bottom like a sail that has been laid flat on a rock surface. This very tall water feature therefore constituted of a group of waterfalls formed by a single source of water supply from the Piduruthalagala mountain range. Water column stood out like a long sail in brilliant white against the dark rock surface and the green wilderness that formed the background. Accessibility to the falls was on a fairly easy trail to walk on beginning at a roadside parking area. The trail which was alongside an irrigation channel, had been recently paved making it comfortable to traverse. This pathway led us to the visitor’s centre operated by the Department of Forest Conservation which issued a ticket for a nominal fee to enter the strict nature reserve. The trek was gradually ascending exposing the beautiful scenery of the area. Natural vegetation and local bird species could be observed along the route. There was a notice board giving the vital information like the historical data, its topography, stories or legends behind naming of this waterfall and the fauna and flora of the area.
Our journey to see this natural wonder took about one and a half hours. Weather was cool but dripping at times. A few leeches bothered us as we had completely overlooked the need to carry some repellent.

我们花了大约一个半小时才到达这个自然奇观。天气凉爽,但有时会下雨。由于我们完全忘记带驱虫剂,所以有几只水蛭困扰着我们。
