Beware if using this service at Starcross
Starcross - Exmouth Ferry的点评
点评：If you’re travelling with a bike - or a child buggy, pram or wheelchair be warned. The only access to the ferry at Starcross is up and down steep flights of steps over the railway and down a further flight to the pontoon. carrying this kind of kit is only for the very agile - and possibly strong.
We asked the ferry man - very pleasant and polite he was too - why the powers that be didn’t install ramps over the railway line and he said it was ridiculous they didn’t. But, ferry man, why don’t you instal a ramp to the pontoon - and shame those in power to do likewise over the railway?
To the ferry company’s credit, they do help you on the ferry with your bike and it’s a decent service on clean boats. It’s just the access at Starcross that lets the service down.
